Pediatric Occupational & Speech Therapy in Tampa

Nervous System–Attuned, Neuroaffirming Support for Children and Their Families

We provide pediatric therapy, specialized programs, and consultative support for parents and children to help them build connection, communication, regulation, and confidence within the environments where they live, learn, and grow.

When a child is struggling with communication, regulation, behavior, or connection, it can feel overwhelming for everyone.

You may have just received a diagnosis.
You may hear concerns from school.
You may simply feel that something isn’t clicking, and you’re searching for a different way to support your child.

At SOTB, we approach therapy differently.

Rather than focusing on fixing behavior, we begin by understanding the child as a whole: their nervous system, their sensory experience, their communication style, and the relationships that surround them.

Because when a child feels safe and understood, they become more available for connection, curiosity, learning, and growth.

Our work is rooted in a neuroaffirming, relationship-based approach that supports not only the child, but the parents, teachers, and environments that shape their everyday life.

Here’s how we can support your family.

  • A woman and young girl playing with a toy chef figure in a room filled with toys and books.

    Individual Therapy

Our individualized therapy services support children from birth through adolescence through occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, feeding therapy, auditory support, and more.

  • Two women and two children sitting on a rug in a living room, smiling and playing with children's toys including a rainbow-shaped stacking toy and a colorful pattern cube. The room has white walls, framed pictures, and a shelf with a small plant.

    The Collective

The Collective is our small-group therapeutic program designed to help children practice communication, social engagement, and emotional regulation within a safe, structured peer environment.

  • Two women and two children gather around a kitchen table. One woman is stirring a bowl, the other woman is leaning over a paper, and the children are observing. There are containers and a spoon on the table with a window in the background.

    NEW: Hybrid Program

This program is a homeschool-based, clinically-supported framework, designed for neurodivergent learners and their families to offer an integrated support model rather than a collection of separate learning and therapy services.

  • "From a parent who once feared she would never hear the words 'mom' or 'I love you', I hear them now all the time."

Our son was 19 months old, barely speaking and we didn't know how to help him. He was being seen in a massive speech therapy practice with short sessions and little to no results. From the moment Casey met our son, not only did she give all her energy and attention in each session, but she most importantly gave us the tools to use at home to help our son in his speech & communication journey.

He is now speaking in short sentences, learning new words everyday, communicating more in all ways, mimicking more & engaging more. From a parent who once feared she would never hear the words "mom" or "I love you", I hear them now all the time, along with so much more.

  • "She was able to say 'Alexa' and choose her own cartoon without my help! The way her face lit up melted my heart."

My daughter's speech was almost impossible for most to figure out what she was saying. She would get easily frustrated, which would lead to behavioral issues in her preschool class. She started working with Outside the Box and there was a noticeable difference pretty quickly. Her most exciting moment came when she was able to say "Alexa" and choose her own cartoon without my help! The way her face lit up melted my heart.

  • "He can now be understood when he asks for something and is confident he will be understood."

“Erin has been working with my minimally verbal 6 year old son with Down Syndrome and she has been phenomenal! Her approach to a potentially challenging child has been spot on with her therapy goals. She uses creative games, visual aids, and tactile input techniques to bring him out of his shell and encourage new sounds, combined sounds, and other motor planning skills. In a few months, we’ve seen a tremendous improvement in his expressive speech along with his confidence in communicating. He can now be understood when he asks for something and is confident he will be understood. His classmates are understanding him more, making his full inclusion school day successful. We’re so glad to have found Erin with Speak Outside The Box!”
