
Our Team
Each of our Speech Pathologists holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and our Occupational Therapists are nationally certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). All of our therapists are licensed to practice in the state of Florida.
Casey, M. Ed., CCC-SLP
Owner of Speak Outside the Box
Casey Rovinski M.Ed., CCC-SLP is a state licensed, nationally certified pediatric speech-language pathologist based in Tampa, FL. She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of various developmental delays including autism, CAS (Childhood apraxia of speech), and speech delay.

Casey is dedicated to providing evidence based, quality intervention to children ages birth to school-aged in their homes, daycares, or preschools. She works closely with parents and other team members including occupational therapists, behavioral therapists, feeding specialists, and special educators to facilitate a multi-disciplinary approach centering around a child’s interests, daily routines, and natural interactions.
Casey’s clinical expertise stems from a background working with children with autism. Her passion for autism developed after completing her bachelors at SUNY Geneseo in upstate New York. Prior to obtaining her masters degree she was employed at various schools and clinics for children with autism including BOCES (Board of Cooperative Educational Services), Buffalo Hearing and Speech Center, and Rochester Hearing & Speech Clinic. Post grad school her love for working closely with parents and educators in a child’s natural learning environment developed as she took her first job in early intervention.

Ashley, OTA/L
Therapy Director and Occupational Therapy Assistant
Ashley is a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant with over a decade of experience specializing in pediatric occupational therapy, particularly in early intervention and autism. A graduate of Keiser University, she has been practicing since 2014, helping families navigate every step of the therapeutic process. Ashley is deeply aligned with SOTB’s mission of providing child-led, parent-involved, and neuro-affirming therapy, and is passionate about empowering families in their journey toward meaningful progress and development.
Erin, CCC-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
Erin Ellis was born and raised in Tampa. She attended the University of Florida where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Business Administration and Elementary Education.

She went on to obtain her Master’s degree from the University of South Florida in Speech-Language Pathology. She worked for Hillsborough County Schools for five years and has experience working in both private practice and school settings. She has assessed and treated preschool, elementary, and middle school aged children individually and in a group setting with a variety of disorders.
During her time in the schools, she worked closely with a team of professionals including psychologists, guidance counselors, administrators, teachers, exceptional student education teachers, occupational therapists, and the augmentative and alternative communication team to meet the needs of her students.
She has clinical experience among children with Developmental Delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Language Disorders, Augmentative and Alternative Communication, Fluency Disorders, and Articulation/Phonological Disorders. She is licensed in the state of Florida and holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Having three young children of her own, Erin has a passion for showing children how powerful their communication can be and providing therapy that is functional and fun.
Carlie, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
Carlie Martin is a state licensed and nationally certified pediatric speech-language pathologist. As a New England Native, Carlie received her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Rhode Island. She received her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of New Hampshire with a focus in pediatrics.

Carlie has treated children from birth-to-18 years old in a variety of settings including private practices, early intervention home care, and special education schools. Carlie has clinical experience with autism, developmental delay, augmentative and alternative communication, language disorders, fluency, swallowing, and articulation/ phonological disorders. She has worked closely with multidisciplinary teams including occupational therapists, behavioral specialists, speech language pathologists, educators and parents. Carlie is passionate about targeting functional communication through play, connection, and collaboration.
Taylor, M.A., CCC-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
Taylor Anderson is a pediatric speech-language pathologist who is passionate about neurodiversity-affirming care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and play-based intervention rooted in relationships. She received her undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences from California State University, Northridge, and her master’s in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Maddie, M.S., CF-CCC SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
Maddie Abdoney was born and raised in the Tampa, FL area. Maddie received her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Florida. She received her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology with a concentration in Aural (Re)Habilitation from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Knoxville, TN.

Taylor is a DIR/Floortime Provider and has advanced training in pediatric feeding disorders, AAC, and trauma-informed care. Taylor’s SLP journey has included early intervention settings, schools, a children’s hospital, and outpatient clinics. She is passionate about collaborating with families to meet their child where they are, in order to foster authentic connection and engagement with the world around them. Taylor enjoys adventuring with her dog, spending time with family, reading, dancing, and exploring outdoors.
Maya, M.S., CF-CCC SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
Maya Zwack is a pediatric speech-language pathology clinical fellow at SOTB. She earned her undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Florida State University and her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of South Florida.

Maya is passionate about providing play-based, neurodiversity-affirming care for children with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, language disorders, augmentative and alternative communication, and articulation/phonological disorders. She has had the opportunity to receive mentorship from Taylor as a student clinician at SOTB and from Casey as a clinical fellow, both of whom have supported her passion for working with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams to foster connection and communication development.
In her clinical practice, Maya is committed to creating a supportive and individualized therapy environment that prioritizes each child’s unique strengths, needs, and interests. She believes in the power of collaboration and works closely with caregivers, teachers, behavior therapists, occupational therapists, and other related professionals to ensure a holistic and comprehensive approach to each child’s care.

Maddie has worked with pediatric and adult populations in various settings including outpatient clinics, schools, and private practices. Maddie has clinical experience working with articulation/phonological disorders, expressive and receptive language disorders, hearing loss, autism spectrum disorder, down syndrome, developmental delay, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and voice and swallowing disorders. Maddie is passionate about working with kids and supporting their growth and confidence in their communication abilities.
Katie, MOT, OTR/L
Occupational Therapist
Katie is a pediatric Occupational Therapist originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She received her Bachelor's of Arts in Music from Slippery Rock University and continued on to receive her Master's in Occupational Therapy from the University of Texas at El Paso.

Katie has always had a passion for working with the pediatric population and has experience in a variety of settings such as outpatient clinics, schools, private practices, and summer camps. Katie has a special interest in pediatric feeding therapy and early intervention services. She is very passionate about providing evidenced-based intervention through the use of child-led play, family involvement, and sensory exploration. She believes in the importance of collaboration and works closely with teachers, families, speech therapists, and behavioral therapists to ensure the most effective therapy is provided.
In Katie's free time she enjoys yoga, gardening, reading, camping, and traveling. She also integrates her musical abilities into her sessions which have been extremely beneficial working in the pediatric field!
Anna, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
Anna is a Speech Language Pathologist at Speak Outside the Box. She earned her bachelors of science in communication sciences and disorders in 2016 from Florida State University and her Masters in Speech Language Pathology from Florida State University in 2018.
Anna has previously worked with a variety populations, including children and adults in the school, clinic and hospital setting. She is passionate about research-based intervention and interdisciplinary collaboration. In her free time she enjoys trying new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
Jenn, SLP-A
Speech Language Pathologist Assistant
Jennifer is a Florida licensed Speech Language Pathologist Assistant. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of South Florida and has a minor in Early Childhood Education.

She has worked in various child care settings for twenty years, with experience from babysitting to nannying, preschool teacher to aftercare and summer camp counselor, a Paraprofessional at an Elementary School and even an Art and P.E teacher for a short time there. She has a passion for working with pediatrics and creating a fun and enthusiastic environment for all children in her care. She has been with SOTB since September 2024 and is so happy to be a part of such a passionate and collaborative team.
